Lithium-sulfur battery technology is progressing.

Electricity is 5-8 times that of lithium batteries.

Lithium batteries have become a necessity in daily life, and lithium batteries are built into mobile devices such as mobile phones, tablets, and wearable devices. As far as the current technology is concerned, it seems that lithium batteries have reached the technical bottleneck and it is difficult to reach a new level. However, a paper by Nano Letters, a well-known foreign academic journal, shows that lithium-sulfur batteries have recently made significant progress and will have 5-8 times the power of traditional lithium batteries.
Lithium-sulfur battery researchers have replaced the metal oxides in the battery with lighter sulphide materials, which will further increase the storage capacity of the battery. In fact, in a recent test, scientists from China, Xiao Xingcheng, Zhou Weidong, Cai Mei, and other researchers, have successfully developed stable lithium-sulfur batteries, which are used 600 times. During the charging cycle, the storage capacity per gram reaches 630 mAh, while the conventional lithium battery stores only 200 mAh per gram.
This result also shows that science and has been able to overcome the original power loss problem of lithium-sulfur batteries. Previously, although lithium-sulfur batteries had a large increase in electricity storage, the rate of electricity loss was too fast, and the actual significance was not significant. If this technology can be promoted on mobile devices, the lithium-sulfur battery will have a power of nearly 9500 mAh at a current weight of about 15 grams for a 3200 mAh lithium battery. This is very exciting.
